“Colours of the Kimberley” is an exhibition of paintings by well-known local artist Ingrid Smith Rijneveld and is showing at Amegilla Gallery Bruthen.

An initial visit to Broome was followed at the beginning of 2019 with an extended trip around the Kimberley area.

The natural beauty of the area with its ancient landscapes and spectacular colours provided a wealth of inspiration and a constant reminder of how small man is in this landscape.

Predominately utilising the saturated colours of pastels, the paintings depict the landscapes both from the ground and the air.
